I passed the university entrance exams for Information Security and scored the passing grade. You have no idea how happy I am about this — I’ll finally get to study something I’m genuinely interested in! The exams were a bit challenging, but not so hard that I was sweating bullets. Now I’m just waiting for the admission lists, which should be out soon.
Also, I recently found a couple of games I can actually play on my potato PC. I’ve been struggling to find anything to play for a while now because my main computer is broken, so I’ve been stuck playing Umamusume on my phone (surprisingly, I ended up liking it) :(.
The first game is Return to Castle Wolfenstein, the second is the original Quake, and the last one is Prey (2006).
I blew through Wolfenstein pretty quickly and really enjoyed it—now I see where The New Order got its inspiration from. Solid shooter.
Quake is a classic that I finally decided to play through. Before this, I’d finished Quake 4 and played Quake 3 (my favorite multiplayer shooter, by the way, even though I suck at it). Right now, I haven’t finished the expansions yet, but I’m working on it. I’d say the first game feels faster-paced than the others, though I haven’t tried multiplayer yet.
Lastly, I’ll talk about Prey. This game made me feel sick—headaches and dizziness — but I still finished it and enjoyed it. I really liked the weapons, but the downsides are the lack of a sprint mechanic and the fact that you have to dig through files and download fixes to play at higher resolutions. It’s a shame they never made a sequel.
By the way, I’m thinking of setting up a Telegram bot for feedback. Once I add it, I’ll leave a link on the main page.
